Blogs

What is it?

A blog is a basic web page that posts information in reverse chronological order. An education blog can offer opportunities for educators to communicate with and between learners, used as a tool to reflect, and an opportunity for individuals to post viewpoints and perspectives. The ultimate goal is connect with each other.

How can it be used for teaching and learning?

Blogs are tools for students and teachers to use in everyday teaching and learning. Teachers can use blogs to update learners and families on classroom events, post reflections, share articles, and use as an informational tool. Students can use blogs to reflect on their own learning. Examples of student reflection could be: journaling on books, science journaling, math journaling, writing prompts, or making comments on posts made by other students.
